A mobile EV charger is a portable device that allows you to charge an electric vehicle away from a standard, grid-powered charger. 

There are different versions available today for a mobile EV charger, with our gasoline-powered EV charger as the most affordable.  There are much faster, higher powered options available that are 5-10x more expensive, but we believe that most of us have a few more minutes than several thousand more dollars to spend!

The short answer is YES!

That is a difficult question to answer because adding a mile of range to an EV depends on many factors.  These factors include the type of EV, the current state of the battery charge, the battery temperature, the ambient temperature, the traffic conditions, the terrain and a few other factors!  So, EV chargers like ours in this range like to say “up to one mile per minute of charge added.”  

Just be aware that generally, EVs that are below 20% battery charge typically charge at a slow rate to protect the EV.

You certainly could but we’ve done all the work and engineering for you.  It is important to have super-clean power or you risk damage to the EV.  It is also important  NOT to overload the generator.  It is important to do all this charging the EV as quickly as possible.  And lastly, we choose components that just meet all the needs but don’t unnecessarily exceed them to save you money!
